SBf Spezialleuchten Wurzen GmbH (formerly Sächsische Bronzewarenfabrik, founded in 1862), develops, constructs and manufactures for more than 60 years technically innovative lighting systems for the rail vehicle industry, according to the customer standards and on the high-quality level.

While doing so, we follow consistently the concept of the modularity, that enables us to operate the interface for the adjacent systems in the light surrounding of the vehicles optimally and at the same time efficiently.

In the joint projects with our partners in the scientific institutions (TU Dresden, TU Ilmenau, Fraunhofer Society), we develop the applications for the modern light technology according to the technical standards (electronic components, light control system).

Currently, SBf Spezialleuchten Wurzen GmbH employs 56 staff members including 9 designing engineers.

The quality management system of the company is certified according to the German Institute of Standardisation DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008. The requirements for the welding processes are complied with the German Institute of Standardisation DIN EN 15085-2, adhesive bonding is complied with German Institute of Standardisation DIN EN 6701-2. We guarantee a comprehensive quality management for all the processes from marketing, through development, construction and model construction up to serial production (including participation of our partners in the value creation chain).
